I wasn’t planning on creating at images inspired by the PCOTY for 2024 but I kept getting asked if I was going to do it this year. So with the interest I contacted a hair stylist who always creates inspiring work to see if they would be interested and she was! These images are the fruits of that collaboration.
A little late to the party this year my initial approach was to look at colour theory and use colours to compliment the peachy tone. The obvious choice was blue but I wanted something a little different so I went with something with more of a green tone. I feel this choice really made the hair colour pop!
The shoot took place at the stylists salon, Tony Wood in Southsea, Portsmouth. Using one of quirky rooms, I was able to set up ready for the shoot. It is a bit of a tight squeeze in the room but it works well.
We had three models for this shoot, all three models had their hair coloured to match our inspiration but had very different styles. From structured waves, to a much more edgy short style.
