Earlier this month I was contacted by a dancer called Fleur Hunt to shoot some portfolio shots. She needed some images to send to Talent Inc for their auditions. We arranged to meet in old Portsmouth by the Hot Walls. We started with the first and most essential part of any portfolio, a head shot. The day we met was a glorious one. Not a cloud in the sky, however there was a bit of wind and the sea was quite rough.
We headed to one of the platforms on the sea side of the walls. I chose this location as it provided some shade, and I wanted to ensure she wasn’t squinting. The location also enables some dramatic catch-lights in eyes. After a few minutes Fleur relaxed into the shoot and started to give me some great looking shots. She’s naturally beautiful so it wasn’t difficult to get good shots of her, we however wanted the knock-out shot. The shot that really gets noticed for being striking. With this in the can, we were able to move on.
A quick change of clothing and Fleur unleashed her legs on old Portsmouth. She appeared in a figure hugging turquoise blue number. After a little conversation, she confirmed she likes her legs so we set out to make them a feature of the shots. We moved around a few locations on the hot walls, and we captured some fantastic images. These are the images she chose from the shoot:
