DAVID GREENSMITH PHOTOGRAPHY offers professional photography services to individuals, businesses and organisations.
How we collect information about you
We obtain information about you when you use our website, for example when you contact us about products and services or if you register to receive our newsletter.
What we do with your data
Here at DAVID GREENSMITH PHTOOGRAPHY we take your privacy very seriously and will only use your personal information to administer your account and to provide the products and services you have requested from us. However, from time to time we would like to contact you with details of other services we provide. If you consent to us contacting you for this purpose, please sign up to our online mailing list. Please note: You can at any time unsubscribe from the mailing list and/or ask us to delete your details.
What data we collect
We collect data such contact names, business names and address, e-mail, phone, IP-address (see visiting our website), notes regarding your business and photography projects, invoices, quotes and bills. We also record who referred you to us, so we can make sure to give thanks where its due!
Who can access your data?
We would never share or sell your data to a third party. However, we do use certain GDPR compliant service providers to help us in our day to day running of our business. These services might be our e-mail and website host, calendar or file transfer systems, our software for keeping contacts which is backed up in the cloud and our online banking where we store payment details for suppliers. We can also take credit card payments through third party services such as PayPal. .
Photographs
We store photographs that we have taken for unlimited years, unless you ask us to delete the photos. (Please note that harddrives have a limited lifespan and we do not make any guarantees for how long these will remain operational.) The photographs will be archived under your company name, company abbreviation or surname along with the date of photography. Please speak to us if you wish for your photos to be archived under an anonymous label. We deliver photographs to our clients using online transfer services such as WeTransfer or Dropbox. Digital files on a hard disc are delivered via Royal Mail where applicable. As copyright holders to our own photographs we reserve the right to publish our photos for our own marketing purposes. If you have any concerns about the photos appearing on our website, marketing e-mails or social media, please let us know. Showcasing our recent work and skills to potential clients is important to our existence as a business.
Visiting our website
We may log and collect certain personal data using “Cookies”. Cookies are small data files stored on Users’ hard drives by a website.We use google analytics’ cookies to:
• log details about the visitor’s browser and computer. (data expires after the session)
• To collect data on the number of times a user has visited as well as dates for the first and most recent visit. (The data expires after 2 years)
• Register a timestamp with the exact time of when the user accessed the website and when it leaves the website. It is used to calculate the duration of a website visit.
