In the past couple of years, in my commercial photography I have been lucky enough to shoot with some very talented and beautiful people. One however stands out, as she always give me something of a wow factor in my images. Aerial Acrobat Siobhan Johnstone and I have shot a couple of times before, and the images are always well received. We had been trying to arrange a shoot for some time where we could show off her acrobatics in a suspended hoop (one of her many amazing circus tricks.) This had proved problematic, trying to find somewhere that had the celling support to suspend the hoop that was low enough to set a background up.Eventually Siobhan managed to secure a dance studio just north of Salisbury where we could set up, so we were excited to see what we could do. I arranged for Makeup Artist Tara Sanger to meet me us at Siobhan’s home on friday morning, where she made her look stunning. Once we were done with makeup, we headed off to the studio space.Once at the studio, I was busy setting up the background and lights whilst, Siobhan was busy warming up and stretching. Quite a sight in itself as to how flexible she is and not to mention strong. Once set up I had a few small setup issues, like getting the background high enough, and close enough that she fitted on it when at full stretch. The initial image ideas were black and white but once i started shooting I found that I really liked the colour shots.
