What Alice Found Christmas Card Shoot

I recently shot some images for use on a christmas card for my styling and Vintage boutique owner Nicki Grainger. We wanted to do something that fitted with the What Alice Found brand but was a bit out of the ordinary. Which, safe to say, we achieved! As usual Nicki turned up with a truck load of outfits and props for the shoot including a chair and hatstand, she had also brought a selection of items to hang. I know what you’re thinking, Christmassy items!? Oh no, teacups and glitterballs, which gives you an insight into the mind of Nicki. Throw in some Gold and you pretty much have her in a nutshell! We shot this on the Monday after the “great storm of 2013” which turned out to be just a fable, in fact it was some wind for about 3 hours in the night. Despite that, in usual English fashion, panick had set in with rail network and they had litereally cancelled everything. So my day started with a little drive to Havant to collect our model, Coral. Once I had collected her, it was to the studio, where we met the makeup artist, Miriam King and closely followed by Nicki herself.Nicki decided on four outfits for the shoot and we arranged props for each individual look. These are obviously not your average christmas card, they are a bit quirky and very much along the Alice in Wonderland theme. Here is a selection of our favourites from the shoot and you will find them in the What Alice Found shop in Pokesdown, Bournemouth. If you are on Nickis list, you may even find one of these dropping through your door.Fashion Christmas Card Commercial Christmas Card Business Christmas Card Vintage Fashion Christmas Card Vintage Dream
