Ree contacted me earlier this year to do an Actors Headshots session in Southampton. I was more than happy to oblige and we arranged to do so one Wednesday afternoon at her flat in the city centre.
I like to headshots in an environment that is comfortable to the sitter, and often in their home is as comfortable as it gets. I set up a small studio and simple lighting setup and we were able to produce some great looking shots. Another advantage of shooting in a clients home is they have all their clothes there so they can change if the outfit distracts.
As a rule I usually like to try and get some shots outside using natural light also so they have a choice, but in this case Ree was certain she wanted studio shots, so we just stuck to that. Here are a few of the shots that she selected:
