The group of people were very receptive and followed my instructions very accurately. Without too much encouragement they were happily in place for the group shot outside the hotel. The shoot was quite rapid and I was finished within 15 minutes, which I feel is pretty good given the amount of people to organise.

I stayed around for a brief while to photograph them mingling in the hotel before they went back to the presentations.

I was recommended by a friend who is working on their website, to photograph the collection they currently have. I was delighted to do this as it is something I have wanted to do for some time. The brief was a simple background, with all the attention on the beautiful garments. So a few weeks ago, armed with three models (Stephanie, Veronika and Rachael) and a Make up artist (Amy) we set too, and created some images to be proud of.

Joanne, owner of Bel Amour, came along with all the garments and was on hand to give her opinion as the shoot progressed. We completed the shoot and images were completed ready for the website.

I scoured the house in search of something interesting to photograph, I came across the Tequila and Southern comfort. A wonder they are still there but they were smuggled to the back of the cupboard. I set the studio up in the lounge (as you do) and set about producing something I would be happy with.

The following images are the results, I am quite pleased considering I didn’t really plan how I would do them, I just got on with it. They are simple but classy product shots and give an indication of the images I am capable of producing. I would say I might try again with them at some point but I doubt they will make it for very long now we know they are there!

I started with a group shot of the new intake alongside the company executives; and even with the large number of people, this ran smoothly and was kept to a very small timescale. I guessed from the cheer at the end of the shot they thought this was going to take longer. I like to keep group shots timescales down to a minimum – keeps people from getting restless!

After that I stayed around to photograph the evening’s festivities, including drinks and a barbecue. I was blessed with beautiful light and a stunning sunset to use as my backdrop. I have attached some of the pictures below:

The images are stunning, and I really enjoyed my trip to Reading. The Wokefield Park Hotel would be an absolutely fantastic venue for a wedding; with building and grounds looking extremely impressive, and the staff providing an admirably professional service. Finally, a quick thank you to Richard Stainthorpe from DLA Piper who made my job easy by providing me all the information I required. I hope to work with you again in the future.

The walks are very different from anything I have ever seen! Not only does the guide tell the myths and legends of the area, but there are actors there to bring the scenes to life! In some stunning performances, you will come face to face with all manner of characters from Portsmouth’s past!
