Last week I was asked to do some portraits of a friends family. I knew it would be great fun to do these portraits as they quite a large family and those to be in the photograph all of an age that would be happy to mess about in front of the camera.
I set out with an action plan of ideas, however I soon forgot about my ideas as I got involved in the chaos. The family all have the typical Italian looks and larger than life personalities to match. The studio session was done at their house in Locks Heath, Southampton. I enjoy working this way as, many people are more relaxed and comfortable in their own homes. It definitely gives better results.
After different arrangements, we finally finished the session. It was an ideal chance for me to put my software through its paces. I was able to connect the camera to my Laptop and those watching could see the images on the screen as I was taking them. A bonus for sure, as they go to see the images almost immediately.
I am excited to get their prints completed and framed, they will look stunning on the walls of their homes.
