Yesterday, was my birthday! It was also the day I went for a meeting with some people who drive the fund raising activities of a local charity called The Rose Road Association. A little background about the charity:
“The Rose Road Association was founded in 1952 by a small group of parents seeking services for their disabled children.
The Rose Road Association celebrated its fifty years with a historic and exciting move to a new state-of-the-art centre ‘The Bradbury Centre’ at Aldermoor, Southampton. This means new facilities and services for disabled people throughout Southampton and Hampshire, which could only be dreamt of previously.
We are proud to be able to offer this dream as a reality, to develop and expand the work of our predecessors, as we acknowledge their hard work in the last fifty years.
The Bradbury Centre has been named in recognition of The Bradbury Foundation for their substantial donation.”
I will be working with this good cause over the coming months to help with their fund raising activities. Pay their website a visit to see the good work that they do! I look forward to producing some images for them and helping to spread the word.
