Monday morning blues, not for me. By 10am I was on West Witterings Beach with Stephanie Bevington. I wanted to produce some images a bit different to those previously published on here. After being in Southampton at the weekend, I had seen lots of Hollister bags around and thought it would be good to do something along those lines.
Stephanie happily obliged with the shoot and we got there nice and early. I had hoped for a non-sunny day, normally this would have been nuts to go to the beach, however I wanted moody lighting and when we did arrive it was actually raining. Perfect! Not only was the light great but there were very few people around.
We worked in the sand dunes and then down on the main beach. Stephanie showed how good a model she is once again, and within an hour I had so many good shots, it made choosing very difficult. Following the beach we headed back to the studio, and did some shots there. They will be posted at a later time, when I have had time go through them.

On Wednesday I was in Emsworth to photograph a model called Stephanie. I was particularly looking forward to this session as I had been trying to work with her for some time. The chance came up and so we headed down to the meadows by the sea.
Wearing a stunning Sherri Hill dress, Stephanie very quick showed off why her portfolio is so good, and why its difficult to get time with her. It was effortless, she just looked and posed brilliantly.
The resulting images are fantastic! I really enjoyed this session, and hope its the first of many.

Last night I had studio space booked for a shoot which was postponed, fortunately Veronika, was able to step in and fill the time set aside.
We aimed to produce some girly and light images. I decided to try and use something I haven’t done for a while; Bubbles. Also as a bonus I had the talents of the lovely Amy Tomlinson as a makeup artist. She is also a good photographer, so nice to have someone else around to assist!

I have a shoot coming up for a boutique and so decided I would do some fashion images to get into the swing of things. I used one of the best models I have worked with before called Veronika.
We spent a few hours just trying different poses, different lighting, and different backgrounds. Veronika also came very prepared with an assortment of outfits!
I am very impressed with what we produced, I am now ready for the boutique shoot and thoroughly looking forward to it!

On Saturday morning I was in Totton covering a charity triathlon on behalf of Rose Road Association in conjunction with Totton Running Club, Bruce Elkins of CW Fellowes and The Southampton Daily Echo. The competition was organised by Naomi Lush of Rose Road Association and her team, and featured 44 competitors.
As the part of the event, the competitors had to swim, then cycle and finally run. Competitors were of varying ability, however the winning wasn’t the point of the event. It was to raise money for this very worthy charity.
Having completed the event, the competitors all received a medal, and prizes were given to the winning team. Mr Ian Murray from the Southampton Echo, was on hand to present the prizes. Naomi was able to confirm they had made an amazing sum of approx £8,000. I would like to add my thanks to all the competitors for their effort and to all those involved in organising it.

It was reported in the Daily Mail that this week it was hotter in Britain than in Hawaii. With that in mind and a pending shoot with the lovely Veronika, I decided to hit the beach. My aim was to produce some beach/swimwear editorial shots as per what you might see in any glossy fashion magazine or Sunday newspaper magazine.
We headed to what could be described as one of the best beaches on the south coast, The West Witterings. We headed to the sand dunes and then later to the sea.

This is the second of these types of shoots I have done in a week. Different models, however similar locations. I wanted to try and get some different looking images using the same sort of places. I also toned them slightly different.
Chloe was great to work with and had lots of her own ideas on posing and what images she liked. I was able to shoot more of at editorial style set of images due to the light and locations used.

Last week, I was contacted by a model called Shannon to do some photos for her portfolio. The weather has been great over the last week so, we decided that as she lived on Hayling Island near the Sea, it would be silly to use the beach.
After a few photographs in her back garden, we departed for the beach. With the beautiful evening light, we were able to create some beautiful shots. Here are a few of my favourites.

Yesterday I was at Tithe Barn, Petersfield in Hampshire, to Photograph the wedding of Matthew & Hannah. The day was fantastic, from the weather and venue to the pick ‘n’ mix and magician.

Last night I took some pictures of a lady called Janette. There was no plan or idea set out for this shoot, just simple beautiful photographs. I decided I would go with the a classy toned black and white look for the pictures.
Janette was really easy going and happy to try anything I suggested, and this shines through in her photographs. The shoot took place in her friends house, and it just shows what can be produced in the comfort of your own home.
I think you will agree the photographs look great, and I am sure Janette will be delighted with them.
